   Great with a variety of herbs, E.g. Chamomile can be used in the vaporizer with no problems, and same as damiana or tobacco. With other vaporizers chamomile sometimes burns, but the variable ceramic heating element is great in controlling the vapor, and can be used at the lowest with great results with delicate herbs like Chamomile and tobacco (american spirit organic) not other chemical laced tobacco's which need high heat to release vapor, big plus over the other vaporizers on the market that tend to burn these.

   I have been a heavy smoker in various forms for many years. When my first kid was born, I decided the health risks were too great to continue so I quit and had missed it every day since. I then read about medicinal herb use and found that they were using vaporizer delivery systems. This then lead me to research the practice of vaporizing and the various implements associated. It seemed that vaporizing was a great way to get back into it and was assured by numerous reviews that the effect would be the same. I then spent a few months researching the various vaporizers available and choosing between a portable or home unit. I contacted Australian Vaporizers several times with questions and they were quick to respond, polite and informative. As other users have said, I too was concerned with paying a high price for a vaporizer and found the Da Buddha to fit within my price range, provide the function I was looking for and according to reviews, performed very well, hence my purchase was made. I received the unit the very next day and after a few days of use and watching videos online I can now use the unit to excellent effect. I highly recommend Da Buddha and Australian Vaporizers. Australian Vaporizers have excellent service, ordered my DBV with express postage and got it the next day however the whip was broken and the top of the packer/poker chipped in postage, called them up and they express posted me replacements with a pack of 10 filters all free of charge and got it the next day.     This is the 3rd vaporizer I have owned, having previously owned and loved a Super Vapezilla and a Purple Days vaporizer and also extensively using Volcano vaporizers over two trips to Amsterdam.
    
    I have a preference for whip-style vaporizers over bag vapes so a tick in the box straight away. The lack of fans means that there is no noise, unlike the twin fans of the Super Vapezilla which create quite a racket. Its also super quick to heat up, taking only a couple of minutes before the element is ready.
    
    It's an attractive design and, after the more complicated Super Vapezilla, it's kind of beautiful in its simplicity. That being said, it is a little better constructed than the Purple Days vaporizer and easier to use as well: Better airflow, better indication of temperature, better load size per hit, etc, etc.
    
    I wish that they had included a screen in front of the element as every now and again I end up with an errant piece of herb making contact with the heating element, resulting in unwelcome combustion. It can also be a little tricky to find the sweet spot with regards to temperature, as there is no temp read-out, just an analogue knob to adjust the temperature. Ambient temperature plays a part in this, so you may have to jockey the knob a little bit until your herb is getting toasted just right - As opposed to the Super Vapezilla's digital thermostat where you set it and forget it.
    
    Glass whips do break (if you step on them like I did....) but replacements are available and was delivered to my door in under 24 hours from placing my order. Sweet!!!
    
    TL;DR - A great vaporizer at a good price, would recommend to everyone! (Posted on 8/08/12)

    This would have to be one of the best, if not the best, vaporiser on the market. Just by looking it it, it looks smart, solid and reliable, and touching it only reinforces your thoughts.
    
    It does take a little while to really get the hang of it, maybe a week or two, but once you've got it, it becomes a piece of cake to use. Just have to make sure that it doesn't get too hot or it becomes pretty easy to burn.

    After reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews on this site I decided to shell out for the DBV. Despite my initial scepticism that vaping may not provide the same satisfaction as alternative methods, I am most definitely a convert. Chances are you are considering a vape to A) reduce herb consumption and/or B) enjoy said herb in a healthier form without reducing the herbs finer qualities. If, like me, you are primarily interested in these two factors then I can most definitely recommend the DBV. After two weeks of solid use I am pleased with the ease of operation and effectiveness of the unit. It heats up fast, is clearly well constructed and, perhaps most importantly, still provides a thoroughly satisfying smoking experience.

    Firstly, the guys here are really professional and nice. I'm glad that there is a quality website / service is australia that offer these products.
    
    Onto the product itself:
    
    It comes in a in a big puffy bag. There is an instruction manual folded in the front - outside pocket, that also has some spare filters attached to it.
    
    Inside the bag is your vaporiser, as well as various required bits and pieces hidden in very inconspicuous pockets. The glass housing (which you put your pipe / hose into) is preinstalled. The hose, glass tube bowl (that you put yur herb in) and the pin-prodder thing (that you use to pack the herb in) are all in pockets, some are hard to find.
    
    Everything is clean, and its quite good quality. Unfortunately the packing end of the pin-prodder broke (I don't know what its actually called ~ its just a long metal skewer with a ball on the end, used for packing the herb in so it isn't lose and used for removed the packed herb with the pointy end), so now i have to find a new one somewhere.
    
    Its' relatively easy to maintain. The glass parts will get dirty but are fairly easy to clean. Get some isopropyl alcohol from a chemist or hardware store and use it to clean the class with some cotton sticks or a pipe cleaner (have only tried cotton sticks, they are just long enough to clean it all).
    
    The tube, being plastic will stain quite easily, but apart from that you can keep it all looking new.
    
    Using the device is fairly straight forward. To save some troubles ill add my advice:
    
    It does have an off switch. I originally thought that it had no off button, however if you move the temperature knob to the far left it will click off. (took a while of playing before i knew of this).
    
    I advise on always having it on the lowest setting to smoke your herb. Don't forget you're vaporising it, so there should be minimal smoke. You have to pull it at a slow and steady pace. Pulling it too quick, even on the lowest setting will cause the herb to combust and catch alight, which will lead to thick, yucky smoke you would expect from inferior products like bongs and cigarettes.
    
    when using it, i turn it on full power for 3 minutes, then push it back to the lowest setting and then begin to smoke.
    
    I believe the minimum temperature is around 200C, and most herbs combust around 150-180C so that's why i keep it lower, and you still get the vapor / tiny smoke so it definitely works. Ofcourse different herbs require different settings, but minimum should cover really everything. Don't forget, slow and steady - too quick and it will combust! not what we want.
    
    If you see that your herb is black / burnt then you are doing it incorrectly. Your herb should be a light brown / ginger colour after it has been smoked. You will know when its out as there will be little to no smoke and you won't "taste' it any more.
    
    Apart from that, read the instructions. They aren't very verbose / comprehensive so if you're reading this then it will be a better indication of what to do.
    
    Don't forget when using it the first time to let it run for 10 minutes at maximum power to get all the manufacturing oils / fumes off of the heating element.
    
    Just have fun with it.

    Spent ages looking up advice and reviewing videos on how to use, then started using.
    
    The unit itself feels indestructible.
    
    I'm sure i came close to combusting at first as opposed to vapeing however i quickly righted that. I'm still working on finding the optimal temps but practice makes perfect, and practicing with the Da Buddha is no chore. I smoked bout half the herb i normally smoke yesterday. I'm not sure if that was just fiddling around etc, but i felt the same effect if not more, from half the amount of herb.
    
    I initially bought this to be more efficient with my herb, and to start enjoing it again as opposed to choking on it. I can't express how much easier vapeing is on my chest than smoking. I'm sure it's not the HEALTHIEST thing i could do, but it's a weight off my chest.
    
    In terms of customer service and delivery? I have to give you guys 5 stars. And i really appreciate that. I've never bought something this expensive online, and you've made the experience easy and I don't feel that a sale has been made. It's been a purchase. And I feel confident if i need anything that you guys will sort it out.
    
    I did a lot of research before buying the Da Buddha. I'm glad i did, because even though there wasn't a single BAD review, during the process of research I also learnt a few tips on how to use it properly. 7th Floor's Da Buddha is as described in most reviews, an incredibly tough product (both top and base are VERY solid), quick to warm up (3 mins or so), easy to use (please read other's advice makes it HEAPS easier, youtube and google people's advice about how to use), and is a complete package. It comes with everything you need to get started. It comes with an extra long power cable to plug in somewhere....something that simple makes it a LOT more convenient.
    
    Overall, I am a noob to vapeing, but not to...ah...herbage? and I gotta say this is an awesome product. I am stoked. gotta perfect my technique and i'm hoping my experiences will stand the test of time...In that regard i'd like to give another review in a few months to let you know how i'm going.

    Unfortunately for me, some of the parts are made of glass.
    
    I made the mistake of taking off the Heat Cover glass piece to clean the unit, but it mustn't have quite clipped on right. It broke and it also broke the Wand piece.
    
    I was forced to smoke but thankfully I could afford to order replacement pieces within a few days.
    
    However I found that with the default "configuration" the Heat Cover was too lose and moving about, so I put one of those metal "shaft" things between the base and metal cover to tighten it up, but it ended up being too tight because the glass cracked when it was heated... Yet even so, it did not crack all the way through. So it is still working while I wait for replacements again.
    
    I would order glass replacement parts with this, because its easier than you think to break them.
    
    It works well, once you master usage of it, you can get some very thick clouds of very good vapor. (Posted on 24/12/11)

    I bought this vape as all the reviews I had read were positive and I have to say this vape is awesome. I have owned a Volcano and a cheapo vape in the past and this unit is by far my favourite in almost all aspects, the Volcano being a little easier to use but that's the only area I'd really rate any other vape as being superior to Da Buddha. Everything about the unit is quality and the vaping experience itself is so smooth and enjoyable I'm stoked I bought it and really don't want to use anything else now. Overall this has been my favourite buy of the year as the price was awesome the vape itself is top notch and the service I received was also very good. The improvement I've had in regards to my breathing is more than worth the price alone as it's improved heaps and I sleep better. I know this sounds like a bloody detergent ad but I can't fault the thing and it's improved my life, nuff said.     Da Buddha is easy to learn to use at different settings depending on how hard you suck it. I find it easiest to use holding the wand slightly out of the heater cover and turning slowly while sucking. If you don't turn it i found that the heat can be concentrated to the top of the wand (heat rises) and burn the top part of herb. The wand broke from dropping on timber floor... so could do with strengthening but ay... For the money its excellent and parts cheap enough. Im happy with it. :) (Posted on 11/08/11)

    If you've never vaped before ... you really need to invest in one of these Da Buddha vapes. They're bloody good value for money and rip you for hours.

    This has gone a 4 hour session on black ops, where i'd easily munch through a few G's herb with the old way, only using a half G or so with DBV, and it's a nice high, and delivers a nice taste.
    
    Secondly, I put my order in on a Monday afternoon, and received my purchase the very next day - Awesome - At least you know these guys stock and deliver really quick instead of placing an order, wait while seller orders and has it delivered to you...Encouraging to know you get Australian customer support and after sales back up if required.

    Been smoking for a while now, been thinking about buying a vaporizer but putting it off for ages as i bought a pretty decent stemless, double chamber 6months-year ago. finally bought the Da Buddah vap and could not believe it. Amazing 'clean' high saves your herb and doesn't mess with your lungs!
    Really cant believe I've been wasting my time with other methods! (still nice to have a cheeky puff once every few weeks)
    Had never used a vap before and took me seriously 5 mins to work it out (sussed it to a tee within the first few days) so easy to use. Oh, and ordered tuesday morn and got it wednesday!

    Been toying with the idea of buying a vaporizer for months. Finally manned up and I'm telling you, you're wasting your time if you're still smoking!
    Couldn't believe how smooth it was, took it out the box and took about two goes to get a decent hit (no doubt I'll get a lot better at it as I get used to it)
    Feels like a really sturdy design, minimal working parts to assure it'll last.
    Price seemed reasonable for the product.
    Only downside is i only received 1 screen instead of 3.... although it could still be buried somewhere in the hugely padded bag that it comes in! (Posted on 17/06/11)

    The Da Budda really is an awesome vaporiser, I have tried a couple of other cheaper vaporisers that friends have bought and they hardly compare! The vapor from it is smooth and tastes really good... plus im saving a small fortune on herbs too! haha
    
    The wand does require cleaning every week or so, not that difficult though just rinse with warm water or chuck in the dishwasher. I have cleaned the heater cover a couple of times, you have to be careful putting it back on as i have broken one before and now try not to take it off too much. ts prob a good idea to buy extra screens and tubing with your DBV purchase as well as you will probably need it.

    i like the simplicity of this vap.
    it only took one go to master the system and get the temp and amount of herb right.
    its very effective and the vapour comes through thick and fast.
    its perfect for one or two people.
    only time will tell about its durability but provided the ceramic heating element lasts there is nothing else to go wrong.
    you need to be a bit careful with the glass components of the wand but they are thick and seem strong. just dont drop them :)
    all in all i would say a good vap at a price most people can afford.
    the delivery was quick and the customer service is very good.
    i'd recommend it.+

    Talk about solid! This is a well constructed, heavy duty vaporizer and easy to setup and use. It comes with bag which is good for protecting the unit and glass.
    Two things you might want to consider before buying this vaporizer; the heating element is horizontal and herb can easily fall into and that if you drop the glass it can break easily. I am mainly using the vaporizer by myself so these aren’t an issue as I am a careful person.
    For the price it is hard to complain about this product. If I was to buy a vaporizer again I would defiantly consider this one due to price but I would probably look at the Silver Surfer and Extreme Q as well.

    I used to work in a head shop in the states so I have tried most vaporizers out there. The DBV wins hands down as the best value vaporizer. When I moved to OZ I had to get myself a new vape as I couldn’t take mine with me so I got another DBV cause you just can’t beat it for the price.     I've never been a giant fan of vaporizers, so I didn't expect to be much impressed by this particular model of vaporizer but my wife insisted I buy one. However this vaporizer is different, its amount of thick vapour instantly changed my opinion of vaporizers! I don't know how I've managed to live 24 years without experiencing TRUE effects of my herbs in this form, but it has definitely been worth the wait.
    
    This product helps me SLEEP!
    
    For some of you that might not be a big deal but I have ALWAYS had an enormous tolerance and the amount of smoke was starting to wear on my body.
    Now, using very little lavender and breathing it in for a few minutes in bed, I can actually fall asleep within half an hour. That is COMPLETELY unheard of for me. I am soooo grateful and excited about this newfound ability to gain restful slumber!
    
    I highly recommend this product especially to anyone who has difficulty falling asleep or relaxing. And it's so inexpensive, what is there to lose?

    While this is my vape, I have used older models as well. This one tops them all. It gives the most bang for your buck. That's all there is to it. For 240 dollars you get the new Da Buddha which has more hit then it's predecessors and is quieter.

    i just bought this vape & i must say its simply amazing. i packed in my usual 0.2g amount of herb i use when smoking & i've barely even used a bowl after 5 hours!! the taste is incredible, i'm never smoking again! this is going to save me so much.
    my unit arrived packed inside its carry bag which is fully padded & of great quality. the glass parts seem a little fragile so be careful with them! the conepiece also gets hot sometimes so it's recommended to wrap something heatproof around it for a handle or you can make a heatsink.
    i have my unit set to just past 1 o'clock right now which seems correct for fluffy chopped herbs. the whole point of a vaporizer is to be smooth & healthy after all. :)

    I started out with a box vaporizer I got of eBay. I thought it worked alright having never used a vaporizer before but after a month the piece of sh*t made a loud crackling sound and stopped working. The seller I bought it off never responded to any of my emails about warranty so I was left out of pocket. Decided I wouldn’t make the same mistake again and would purchase a vaporizer from a reputable company. I ended up getting the Da Buddha cause I had read good things about it on some forums and can’t see the point in spending $600+ on a volcano. All I can say is this thing is the bomb. Comparing this to the vaporizer I got of ebay is like comparing an old black n white tv to a new 50” hd tv, they just don’t compare. The taste is so much nicer with the Da Buddha where as the ebay one tastes so much like plastic. You can tell that the product is solid and well made. The glass is of quality and it even comes with a storage bag for the vaporizer and the glass bits. I would give it 4 stars as I think the price is a bit expensive but its really good at its job. If it was cheaper I would easily give it 5 stars.

    i've owned this vape for a few weeks now and it's... AWESOME!!! i will never go back to smoking its just so harsh and wasteful! the money i have saved on herbs has already made this a great investment… very solid construction and quality glass pieces. the padded cary case makes a great home for the da buddah and is heaps handy when I need to take it to a mates. i set mine to 2 o’clock and it heats up in about 2 mins then i can pull massive hits of thick potent vapour all day long. the taste is great and very smooth (Posted on 11/07/10)
