   I've been smoking before but since I used to have asthma I want to try a vaporizer. I'm interested in buying a MFLB before I moved to Australia but since I used to have my own apartment, I can keep on smoking.
   
   Now that I moved here and since I don't have my own place yet, I decided to buy one. After trying it for the first time I'm impressed. The vapor is really smooth. It doesn't smell bad. I'm happy with the battery life as well.
   
   The only thing that I don't like about the purchase is the Acrylic Grinder that came with the combo. I'm used to using a metal grinder. (Posted on 21/05/13)

   I bought my MFLB 2 years ago from Australian Vapourizers and I absolutely love it to death! This little beauty is so portable and easy to use anywhere, it only takes 3 - 5 seconds to heat up and your vaping away to your hearts content without the tell tale smell or the smokers breath. I must recommend getting the MFLB power adapter too, it can be used at home or in the car from the 12v cigarette lighter and gives a much better hit than the batteries.
   I am glad I bought from Australian Vapourizers because I had a warranty issue and had to return the unit. I was sent a brand new unit which I received three days later! If I had bought from an overseas supplier I would have to send it through "Customs" in that country and "if" it cleared customs I would have still been waiting weeks for the replacement, many thanks to Australian Vapourizers and their great service.     The MFLB was my first vape, chosen for its compact portability and low price.
    I was impressed by the presentation, the box itself is neat, simple, few moving parts to break or lose, fits snugly into even my small hands, and it looks good too.
    The Good: Easy to use, very small and compact, no assembly required for use, few moving parts to lose/break. Heats up instantly when you press the battery against the contact and turns off as soon as you let go. Good vape for when you just want a buzz, whilst still being able to function.
    With every second day use i got about 8 months out of my MFLB. I had two batteries for extra use away from home.
    
    The Bad: Not recommended for serious smokers as the vape is neither large or powerful therefore produces only small amounts of vapour and of lesser potency than for instance a corded vaporizer.
    The batteries were actually the part that failed. After about 7 months i noticed one day that one battery was leaking fluid so i threw it away. About a month later i had my MFLB kit on my lap (disassembled and not in use) when i felt the bag getting hot. Upon inspection i found that the battery was almost scalding hot to touch, and leaking fluid. However, considering the low cost of the MFLB and the minimal cost of a replacement battery, this would not entirely dissuade me from recommending the MFLB. But I certainly would caution buyers to always check the condition od their batteries before every use, and not to leave them anywhere that might get hot (eg car).
    My main gripe with the MFLB is the mesh screen. After several uses i found that there was a buildup of residue on the mesh screen, and when used inexpertly by my friends, the box would sometimes burn the product onto the mesh. Since the box is built as a solid unit, the mesh screen cannot be removed and replaced. Also, it cannot be immersed in liquid, which made cleaning the screen quite difficult.
    Overall i'd recommend the Magic Flight Launch Box to first time vape buyers and "social smokers" for its ease of use and low price. It is a very good introductory portable vape, but not useful for the heavier smoker. (Posted on 6/05/13)

    Bought this on a Monday late at night, shipped to nz in 4-5 days, well surprised by the service.
    Un-boxing your first Vape is always something special, the tin looks way more awesome then the picture. Love how everything you get is neatly packed in the tin which is handy. Battery charger and converter are great and can support AAA charging as well as AA. (Btw if your ever low on a rechargeable battery, try checking your controller and seeing if its a 2000+ mAh battery as that can work too :) ).
    
    This is extremely useful to me for use round the house, and has helped numerous times since i got it two weeks ago. Hardly a lack of smell unless someone walked into the room at the same time as you were breathing the vapor out and more or less in there general direction would they pick up on it right away. If your a at home vaper, by a window or say before a shower/relaxing bath and you will be golden.
    Anywhere outside is great, especially for walks through bush walks/reserves, very good combo imo.
    
    Now, I usually pack a nice, finely grounded trench of herb into it but either using the scraper i got with my grinder or i just pluck it with my fingers.
    The key is to not actually apply pressure just sprinkle as you would into your trench. You can have some abnormalities in size but, note that they simply will not be well vaped.
    I quite enjoy using the glass draw piece as it feels and seems to taste better coming through the tube. Although I found this quite difficult right off the bat using it first time, it is hard to judge how fast to draw. However, if you wait about 3-5 seconds before you start softly pulling i find that be quite manageable.
    My advice would be to use the box in its "native" mode to get down the vaporizing technique first and foremost.
    REMEMBER to shake the box, tap the box round to make sure nothing is sticking to the bottom sides etc., after every trench, and while this can be annoying to do, is valuable to keeping your screen intact(only part that cannot be replaced and must be returned using the guarantee, provided the serial number on the bottom is intact.)

    Shipping was quick and painless, very discrete. The MFLB is the perfect beginners vape. It's slow to draw, but it does the job. If discretion when it came to vapes didn't matter, I'd definitely buy a higher quality one, but for price, portability, ease of use, and the fact that I can vape almost anywhere and not have to worry about being caught, this is a great purchase. I'd definitely recommend getting the whip attachment, as it makes the drawing a lot easier. I would have loved to get the AC Adapter, but unfortunately Australian Vaporizers don't seem to sell it.     I bought one of these last year and used it for only 4 weeks before reverting back to my iolite classic.
    
    Much harsher than the iolite, I'm an ex smoker and moved away from combustion to save my lungs and throat. After 2 weeks of using the MFLB my cough came back. I found that there was combustion occurring even though I only loaded a small amount of herb per 'trench' and made sure I was shaking it between draws to mix the herb around.
    
    Also, the mesh screen gets clogged very very quickly if you have sticky herbs. With no way to remove and clean the screen it renders the unit inoperable quite quickly.
    
    Also, the batteries need to be recharged constantly and I thought the method used to "light" it was a bit clunky and imprecise - no real feedback from pushing the battery against the terminal so I found myself pushing it in quite hard which was a strain on the hand.
    
    My opinion, put your money towards a premium portable vaporiser. (Posted on 17/01/13)

    I am extremely satisfied with my MFLB. It's simple, effective, cheap, elegant and convenient. It's a great little unit!
    
    The MFLB is beautifully designed and finished. At first I thought it looked like an awkward contraption but it's actually very convenient and fairly simple to use. It's been fun experimenting with vaping (drawing) technique as I've been getting used to it.
    
    At the moment, I much prefer this to my Extreme Q, which, in contrast to the MFLB, can be a bit of an ordeal to setup and really not very 'natural' to use. I must also say, the information booklet which comes with the MFLB is quite impressive and tells you everything you'd want to know about it. It's a very neat package.
    
    The only detractors, for me, with the MFLB is the battery engage mechanism and the direct contact of the herb with the heating element. Firstly, keeping the battery depressed (with your hand) can feel like a bit of a labour and can leave a little, sore imprint on your skin - however it's really not that bad and there are ways around it. Secondly, if you don't draw quick enough, while the battery is engaged, the herb can begin to combust in the trench, leading to the herb sticking and metal grate becoming discoloured and requiring some more attention with cleaning. This, however, is not a big deal either and is fairly easy to avoid though and is covered in the 'Flight Guide' (user manual).
    
    The company's style and final product are something to be admired, I think, too - the laser-etched aphorism on the back is a nice idea to keep in mind as you prepare for lift off. So climb aboard! (Posted on 11/01/13)

    As a vape, the MFLB certainly gets the job done! It's easy enough to use, although it would be nice to definitively know when the batteries need recharging. Often times you'll find it not quite working, and then it's a case of randomly changing the batteries or the load ("hmmm, is this the right shade of brown?") until it works again. Also, getting the load ground to the right size is really hard with the acrylic grinder. All that is pretty small potatoes though, the thing works just fine.
    
    The shipping for Australian Vaporizers is amazing fast! I ordered one day at 3pm, and it was there 9am the next! Real awesome! Now if only they could spell 'vaporiser' like a proper Aussie, eh? (Posted on 12/12/12)

    I already had an extreme Q at home, and I have to say this is the worst vaporizer ever. Honestly breaks easily, batteries discharge after a month or two and you have to end up forking out more.
    
    Although I have to say it works really well for the first month, then declines in the next. Does what its supposed to well at first. But honestly, this isnt worth it. Only good thing going for the mflb is its incredible stealth, but thats it. Do yourself a favor, save your money for a more premium vaporizer!!!

    Just be careful when using it the first couple of times, I burnt my throat taking long draws (there's a technique you need to use instead of long draws, there's heaps of videos on youtube that describe the method).

    This is a small package (slightly larger than a matchbox) but packs a powerful punch. The hits are nice and not too overpowering like a water based device. I do not mix my herbs with tobacco so cannot comment on that aspect. You don't need to heat too long, 5 seconds and after you see some smoke that's the time to inhale.
    
    The smell is very minimal, you can use it indoors with no lingering odor. The batteries seem to last quite a while but I've only had it a few weeks and they seem to charge fairly quickly. All in all very satisfied with the product. (Posted on 8/10/12)

     This device is fairly straightforward to operate, but there seems to be an art to using the device properly. Is this a bad thing? No, fans enjoy achieving a perfectly hit trench. However, if you want to just get the job done, there's a few things you can do wrong like getting it too hot, or not hot enough. And the batteries! Those things are dangerous, and don't perform as well as having a power adapter.
     
     For value, let's look at what this device actually does. It has a metal screen which needs to get hot enough to heat the herb. The technology involved isn't complex, but it achieves the desired result. The value of the device comes from it's convenience. If you feel like you really need to be able to vaporize just about anywhere, then this is the device is for you. Is that convenience worth $120? That's for you to decide.
     
     Again, the box isn't complex, but the simplicity of the design gains respect from fans of the device. Maybe a more intelligent device will do a better job in the future, but right now this as good as it gets. And I can't forget the warranty, which should quell any concerns you maybe have about the build quality.

     Nearly no smell ( a different odor to burning and not really recognizable ) and small enough to hold in one hand in a crowd without being seen.
     
     Probably not a replacement for your everyday tool but it defiantly has beneficent for portable use.
     
     Hit is more body than head as apposed to burning
     
     Just a note on battery use - advise that you buy extra batteries when purchase as it chews the batteries( you would want 4 AA for a big night out) and I have had trouble finding the right size batteries locally.

     Very happy with this purchase. The product is everything it purports to be, and I urge all smokers to do their lungs a favour and switch to vapour, rather than smoke. Not only does it provide a cleaner taste but maximises smoking efficiency by only delivering the component of the crushed herb. My consumption has literally halved since switching to MFLB. I would recommend that new users buy additional glass mouthpieces, as they're quite fragile and will break easily if the user is a heavy-handed clunker like myself.

     Couldn't be happier with this site, i bought it and i think it was delivered the next day. I got it delivered to work and it was pretty discrete.
     
     Since getting it I have smoked in a packed cinema, at the zoo, at a cafe... pretty much everywhere - the thing is fucking incognito!
     
     I also bought all the extras - don't worry about any except maybe some spare batteries - you dont want to be waiting for batteries to charge.

     this is my first purchase of a vaporizer and I'm pleased with my choice. I 've used a vape at a friends place in the past but never this one so I was not sure how it would work out. I did a lot of research about portable vapes and decided to go with the MFLB for its portability and ease of use, I'm pretty happy with it, I wish I'd taken to vaporizers years ago. The only thing I would like is an electric power attachment, which I've read is available in the USA, I hope that Australian vaporizers import that for sale here,as the batteries are OK, though after only having mine for a month or so I notice one of my batteries does not seem to work as well as the other. The battery charger I received seems OK, it seems to charge the batteries good, though the USA to Australian power converter broke in the first week of use.
     All in all I would recommend this product to anyone that is moving from combustion to vaping, I no longer have a tight chest and I don't cough up garbage.
     I'd also like to mention the service I got from Australian vaporizers was second to none, I received the MFLB within a couple of days of depositing the money into their account, they have provided very good service,and I intend to do more business with them in the future.

     First time vaper. Wasn't sure what to expect, essential oils are released without the overtones of smoke for a much smoother whiff with a pure taste.
     
     Must inhale *very* slow and constant for a good hit, but easy to get a *big hit* with lots of tasty vapor.
     
     Get an extra hand length of tubing to extend cooling and Vapor buildup space, a pack of eight rechargeable 2600Mah batteries (strip and clean with alcohol, ditch other two), four battery quick charger (one filling of the box is one battery, and the other charger bites me..). Vapes are a bit expensive at first but are a great investment in healthcare, plus the lifetime warranty from California mob..

     Well the vape. Its quality is MUCH better then i expected. The wood is worked well, sanding, finish not cracked or discoloured in anyway, the acrylic top and stem feel like good quality and the top is also finished well.
     
     The tin is MUCH smaller then i expected. The package was large though as it was packed very well. The tin is not much bigger then my hand. The MFLB itself is smaller then my index and middle finger together. (Think a rectangle covering your 2 fingers) When i saw it i thought it may be too small. However it is the perfect size.
     
     It is VERY easy to use. Perhaps too easy. In combination to this the trench holds more of my aromatic herbs then i need (I think this is influenced by the fact I needed to use less then normal).
     
     The two things together mean that it is very easy to use more then you need. It is also easy to load and hold in the hand.
     
     The vapor that comes off the herbs is amazing. It is smooth like silk while still being quite thick, if you inhale slow enough. I have used a vapor genie many times before and this produces much nicer vapor. It is easier to use as well.
     
     I even find the charger supplied to be good. I would like it to charge 4 batteries at once but perhaps this is to much to ask for a price this low.
     
     Value is good. The quality is good and it looks as if it is completely made by people.
     
     My only complaint is not at Aus Vape or the MFLB but Australian Air Express. They came to deliver my package looked at the gate and did not even try to open it. So i had to collect it from my local post office. Not a big deal and outside of the control of Aus Vape. (Posted on 8/07/11)

     Next - the Magic Flight itself, is compact and easy to use.
     
     Have never tried vaping until getting my magic box. Will never go back to anything else... it's truly the best gadget for the hippie/hipster crowd.
     
     It does go through battery power quickly, tho I use a Varta re-charger, which charges the batteries back to full in about 30 mins.
     
     The Magic flight is great value for money, and it works just like it says it does. There's also some informative reviews on youtube that I've seen, which pretty much answer most 1st time user's questions. Many thanks ;0)

     Couldnt believe something that small would work well and/or last long, so i ordered two, thinking one would break or fail after a week. Within 1 week i got sick of my mate begging and gave one to him. 3 months later mine is still fine and so is his. I threw away my bong, this is all i need.
     Anyone worried about loosing taste is wrong, i cant believe how well herbs taste through this little beauty.
     Only down side is if you have a few mates over, at some point you are going to have to let go of it ( and im quite attached lol ) and 2 batteries are not enough. BUT being so awesome i have ordered a second one with an extra set of batteries, giving me 2 vaps ( MINE and one that im willing to pass around lol ) and 6 batteries which should be heaps.
     Toss your bong, save the smell, the mess ( we have ALL knocked one over at some stage ) and get this.
     ps, my mate claimed that the palm of his hand hurt a little from pushing battery in, turns out if he had stuck the supplied batt caps on the blunt end while using this isnt a problem either. (Posted on 17/06/11)

     ive been using an extreme q which is a good vaporiser, but i recently bought a magic flight launch box and i actually prefer the launch box, its awesome. The wooden box is deceptive, its way smaller than in the pics and its got great stealth, hell i smoked one at the beach with people near me, no one could barely see it and then i just hid it in my towel n went for a surf, its too easy. Plus i find the first few hits using the battery system puts out a sweet vapour stream, a strong hit. Theres something about pulling out the little wooden box, kinda feels adventurous , itd be an easy portable one to throw in your camping trip bags and head off down the coast with too.      Although it's less than half the price and a quarter the size of the more sophisticated Iolite, the Launch Box offers benefits the Iolite can't match.
     
     It's much smaller and (preferably with the battery removed), more easily concealed in the palm of your hand. (Unless you're a pre-adolescent and probably female, in which case you shouldn't be using one of these things anyway.)
     
     In situations where silence is golden, the Launch Box is an easy winner, because the Iolite hisses for a few seconds whenever the unit cools enough for the thermostat to engage the flameless ignition.
     
     On the debit side, the Launch Box vaporises the herb somewhat unevenly, leaving a mix of green and dark brown remains. It's also a bit fiddly to use, and it's easy to forget to disconnect the battery between tokes. And there's no thermostatic control. The rechargeable batteries supplied also need recharging fairly often, taking well over an hour for a full charge.
     
     In contrast, the Iolite is thermostatically controlled, it's quickly refilled with a butane canister that lasts for ages, it vaporises more evenly, resembles an elegant cell phone and fits comfortably in your hand. (Unless . . . etc.)
     
     Conclusion: They complement one another. So, if you're undecided and flush with funds, buy one of each for different occasions.

     Don't even bother with any of the others. The Magic Flight works in any environmental conditions except underwater. It is brilliantly simple, durable, small, stealthy, silent, odourless, fast, and super efficient. It can be in your palm as you yawn into your hand within a large crowd, tucked into your jacket in the wind and rain or sitting next to the goggles in your beach bag packed and ready to vape ! Within 5 seconds you are suitably respirated ! I give it a ten out of ten for design brilliance. Overall package from MFLB very good value for money.
     Very impressive service from this site also. I ticked the add to cart box on Sunday night and was vaping on Monday night.

     When I first unboxed the Magic Flight Box, I was slightly disappointed. The box appeared to be so simple and cheap for the price. I have to say, though, two days later, I'm liking it much better. Since I'm getting used to it so quickly, I think in another day I will think it was a bargain.
     
     The size is absolutely perfect. It fits nicely in my pocket and the tin it comes in is exactly the right size to keep everything in. It's extremely light and easy to hold for its size, even with my hands.
     
     The rate it heats up at is wonderful. Almost no waiting time, and the results are almost instant. It should make it much easier for those who are impatient. I also like having an unlimited power source because it just runs of normal AA batteries and not some specialised expensive battery.
     
     I haven't had it long enough to comment on the extended battery life. But I was honestly fine with the two batteries I got with box.
     
     And my LUNGS! My word what a difference! I can practically run a marathon! I've been able to completely cut smoking out of my life. Combine herb saving with health benefits and it's an unbeatable combo.
     
     The ONLY thing I would change if I could is to make an on/off button. I'm having a little trouble showing friends because they always forget to take the battery out. But they’re starting to get the hang of it.
     
     All in all, I think they hit it out of the park with the Magic Flight Box!
