   For the first week I used the SSV not realising that ceramic heating element was too low. After contacting their customer service (7th Floor Customer Care) I received a reply within 6 hours (taking into account time difference, this was pretty fast) detailing instructions on adjusting the glassware and heating element and also ways to check if everything was operating as it is.
   
   In my experience so far of using this, I've found it very easy to operate once you get the hand of it - it's effective and conservative of the herbs being consumed, and just looks cool as well. (Posted on 17/05/13)

   The purchase of the Silver Surfer Vaporizer was my first foray into the recent series of vaporizers, only previously owning a conduction vaporizer (hotplate system). The decision to purchase the SSV was primarily based on the various videos & forum discussions on vaporizers that I had looked over during my research to catch-up on the latest selection available.
   
   I was initially hesitant on spending the money, but am so glad that all my concerns were put to rest in fast order.
   
   NOTE: I've only had two days to test it so I can't comment on things like product longevity.
   
   PRODUCT
   
   + STRONG and steady production of tasty vapor
   + Solid construction while being aesthetically pleasing
   + Elegant design with easily replaceable/customizable parts
   + Ceramic heating element/glass combination ensures healthy vaporizing without the vapor passing over any internalized electronic/plastic pieces (key point for me, personally)
   - Not really a "con" point, but it will take novice users a couple of days to become properly accustomed to finding the right temperature for their specific grind and dryness of product.
   
   CUSTOMER SERVICE
   
   + From start to finish, Australian Vaporizers has some of the best customer service I've ever seen in ANY company. I had a minor issue with the glass heat cover being broken during postage, which they promptly replaced along with sending some free goodies for the inconvenience which all arrived the very next morning.

   Easy to use, but took a couple of days to get a couple of temps dialled in, but WOW.

   This is the first vaporizer i have ever owned and used. It took about three day to get the fine tuning down, but once i did, i was amazed. Very basic to use but amazing features. Change the temp and inhale speed for a different vape. 1/2 temp and a slow inhale with give a good thick vape, up the heat a little and speed up the inhale and you get a nice thin vape.    Pretty much agree with all the other reviewers, this is a great product. It does take a few uses before you get it exactly right, but once you find the ideal temperature setting, which for me is setting the dial at about 1 o'clock, the result is very pleasing. I have to be somewhat covert in my use so it was good to find that the normal smoky aroma that accompanies herbal burning is almost entirely gone. I bought the optional glass aroma bowl and I heat a little peppermint or tea tree essential oil in the bowl and this means no tell tale aroma at all, so I can really recomment that. So good not to be inhaling smoke any more, or indeed smelling of smoke when I have to straighten up! Highly recommended! (Posted on 18/08/12)

   As with a lot of other reviews, initially I though maybe I had been screwed out of 300 dollars. How wrong I was.
   
   It took me a week using the SSV to figure out the physics of the thing, now I can produce mind numbing vape. I have to be careful not to vague out and vape for too long as it is possible to introduce a large amount of chemical to your system if you don't monitor your intake (i've made myself pretty paranoid once or twice - not fun but speaks for the effectiveness of the SSV).
   
   This is my only vape (previously having smoked daily), and I do really like the ability to take long drags. Only down side is, it seems a bit personal (sobering all over the inhalation tube), and seems less social (and slightly embarrassing if no one else is doing it) then passing around a bag - as in other vapes. Again I have not tried other vapes so can not comment of their efficiency.
   
   In summary, the unit does the job, will last long, and will save your lungs. Do it.

    Got the SSV today after trying a Noble. If anyone reading this is considering getting one of them, do not bother, buy yourself one of these instead.
    This Vaporizer is easy to use, works first time and has very little that can go wrong with it.
    Turn it up to between one and two o'clock on the knob and you should be right.
    
    This company is great to deal with. Prompt service and quality goods.

    This is my first vaporizer so i don't have anything to compare it to however the "silver surfer" has converted me to vaping full time instead of traditional methods. The SS is very well made, looks fairly cool and delivers a big hits of vape without any waste of herbs.
    
    Great company to order from, I'm in the northern suburbs of melbourne and it came in less than 24hrs!! I've had friends ( not familiar with vapes) look at it and on appearance say I paid too much, but after using it for a week I'm still very happy with my purchase and I'm looking forward to another purchase down the track and would definitely use this company again.     Overall I am extremely pleased with my Silver Surfer. It is definitely a step up from my TopVapor model. However, with a $350.00 price tag this may not be a practical choice for everyone. Many of the cheaper vaporizers offer more features such as an LCD screen but they just don’t offer the hit that the Silver Surfer does. I definitely wish Silver Surfer had designed this vaporizer in a gold finish. I also wish they included the ability to fill bags and an LCD screen would be nice. These design oversights and minor cons as well as the hefty price tag prevent me from giving this wonderful vaporizer a 5-star rating. Still, the Silver Surfer is one of the best, vaporizers you will find on the market today (IMO). If you are looking for a vaporizer that will deliver that hit you have been craving then look no further. I highly recommend the Silver Surfer, it really is one amazing device! (Posted on 10/10/10)

    Let me just start off by saying I'm in love with the silver paint that's on these vaporizers. I didn't want to get the black because I've had annoying experiences with my appliances and how fingerprints really are drawn to the black surface.
    This is the vaporizer that 7th Floor should be proud of. It's everything that'll satisfy a new purchaser, and if you've been holding out, now's your chance to see what all the buzz is about.
    
    For the price, you're getting a pretty good deal, especially when compared to the other models of vaporizers.
    
    - A killer vaporizer, hence the name "surfer."
    
    - Sleeker and sexy design. I think this is pretty self explanatory. Just look at the photos.
    
    - Extremely high reliability. Turn it on and it works every single time. Adjust the temperature and it increases. Not to mention that mine is usually on 8+ hours a day and I haven't had any problems.
    
    - Cheap to run, only needs to have some screens replaced every couple of months.
    
    - Glass knobs, which is a neat bonus.
    
    All in all, for $350, this deal can't be beat for what it offers. If you're looking to buy a vaporizer, you're in for a treat either way.

    When I first looked at this product I was skeptical, but my friend bought one and I tried it. At first I thought it was pretty much the same as my old vap. However, after using it for a while it really hit me and I just had to get one.
    
    Loved the way you can fully customise the colours and was pretty happy with the bag which is very discrete and perfect for those adventures when I had previously wished that I had brought my gear with me.
    
    All in all, my only resignation is how much money I wasted before I purchased the Silver Surfer as it really is efficient when compared to similar models around the same price.
    
    My best advise is don't buy one of the cheaper units as you really do get what you pay for and if you like a good solid hit then the Silver Surfer is a wild ride!!!
    
    I know someone who has recently ordered a Volcano and I cant wait to give it a whirl.
