   Product arrived in a timely fashion in excellent condition. It only took a couple of attempts to learn an effective technique. Your herb or tobacco must be stirred once or twice to allow you to vaporize all active ingredients - tends to vaporize the middle portion only. Care must be taken to only apply enough flame to reach vaporizing temperature - being hasty and putting too much flame in the top will only clog the filter with soot. So using a lighter that doesnt flicker is recommended also. Given the price this product is a bargain. (Posted on 23/03/13)

   I find it a great device. I wish I had known about these things years ago. I have recently stopped all smoking as I have had the worst cough of my life for at least 6 weeks. But I thought I would give a vapouriser a go. I find it gives you a great clean effect without feeling chesty the next day. Although my girlfriend does not seem to get it working properly.    This is a great product! The design is so simple but it works so well. For the price, this is excellent value. Very portable and there's little to no smell, so it's very discreet. SO easy to use, just take it easy with the lighter to begin with. If you pull too hard or for too long, the vapor gets REALLY hot. Really efficient too...one very small bowl gives around 4-5 decent hits. Great alternative to cigarettes for those who just like a vape or two at a time.     I have been a smoker since I was about 18 & I'm now 44 so you could say I'm as addicted to it as one could get. Have tried many times to stop but had no real success until I tried the Vapor Genie. Had it for a bit over a week & I can say with all honesty the thought of ligting up another cigarette repulses me. The vapor genie gives the hit in the throat & chest & the vapor feels like one is blowing smoke, but without the stink of smoke.     I ordered my vaporgenie from australian vaporisers and two weeks later received it in the mail in my new zealand home.
    Vaporising is so much healthier than smoking, it makes herbs taste amazing, the vapor is barely visible, and does not leave a smell like smoking does.
    The vaporgenie is simple and easy to understand and use. It takes a little practice to get the heating technique perfect, but once perfected produces good tasting vapors.
    While it goes through lighters really quickly, this can be easily remedied by buying hemp wick.

    The basic principle of using this thing is pretty simple, just make sure you have a decent butane lighter.     I've been using my Genie constantly for about a month now and wow, I'm impressed. No tar build up in the pipe at all therefore no nasty tar in lungs(well must be very minimal). I usually smoke a pipe and have to clean the dirty slimy tar every 2grams. I've probably smoked about 10grams though my genie and still no sign of tar...and believe you me it works. 1 problem is that you need a pretty big constant flame, so gas runs out fast in your lighter but hey, top the lighter up and away u go.
    Tried quite a few vaporizers now and they're all great but I was worried about any electric or butane vaporizer dying on u like my mates volcano. after 2 years it stopped working, 300$ down the drain. The Genie will never die on u(also y I choose it over the magic flute, what if it stops working?) (Posted on 16/11/11)

    It took me a little while to get used to this thing but after you get the technique down it works really well. It's easy to economise your herbal blend as well, you can usually get about 6-7 hits out of a single bowl. I found that after 2-3 hits it's a good idea to open it up and stir up a little so everything gets used up at a relatively even rate as it generally uses the herbs in the middle faster. Be careful not to burn the filter as it doesn't work so well after that, clean it somewhat regularly and replace the screens to keep it working well. My friends love the way it looks as well but I've yet to be able to teach them to use it very efficiently! (Posted on 26/10/11)

    I bought my VG from this site about a month or so ago and I love it.
    
    Don't understand the (one) negative review here as I have found it extremely easy to vape using the VG. It is obviously an issue with the user themselves rather than the product, which is honestly very good, especially for the relatively low cost and portability etc.
    
    I have used my VG about 5-6 times, vaped with no difficulty each and every time and have not come close to combusting a single time (using a regular bic cigarette lighter, if that's relevant). I did read the directions and watch video demos etc. on the internet days before I attempted to use it so maybe that has something to do with it. I imagine it might be hard to do outdoors when it's windy, but I've been using it in my lounge room (something I'd never even consider when smoking...) with great results, and little smell which fades very quickly and doesn't even smell like smoke... Almost feels too good to be true!
    
    I get pretty big vapor hits without any hassle and it gets me to the level I want to be at without using very much herb. Infinitely more pleasant than other ways (or any other smoking implement), though I did somewhat miss the typical effects of smoking the first couple of times (but the euphoric 'sensation' from vaping is far greater than I would get from smoking, so it's more than a fair tradeoff)
    
    I have since bought the Magic Flight Launch Box as well but strangely I actually prefer the VG even though it's about half the MFLB price. The bad reviewer's claim that they are "literally 100 times better" is untrue, needless to say. I think most people would prefer the MFLB to the VG, but they're both great portable vaporizers in their own right (I'll reiterate, I own both and prefer the sensation I get from the VG, but the MFLB is also an amazing product/invention so not taking anything away from it) (Posted on 8/10/11)

So easy to use no waiting or anything, just when the ceramic filter goes black after use don't worry it's just soot from the gas in the lighters.     a fabulous product that does what it says. doesnt take long to figure out the best distance and duration of flame application to get best results. as a guideline 5-10 seconds of flame applied 2 or 3 seperate times is enough. there is some residual active compounds in the roasted contents so roll a phat one and pass it to the left ppl but dont draw too deep cos its a bit harsh.
    PS: you will need to clean or replace the screen regularly. screens can be purchased at tobacconists. for cleaning i would recommend isopropyl alcohol, try bunnings or hardware stores, in a pinch rubbing alcohol will suffice or even soapy water but you will have to get an old toothbrush to scrub it clean.
