Plant Parts: cut and sifted aerial parts

Celandine: Botanical name Chelidonium majus. Greater Celandine is often used to assist with liver and gallbladder cleansing programs and for various disorders directly and indirectly associated with the liver. In addition, it is believed to be helpful in preventing the accumulation of foreign particles in the liver. It is believed to have a wide range of other uses, including: a mild and soothing sedative, prevention of respiratory difficulties, stimulation of bile production to aid digestion, and relief of nausea, abdominal cramping and other signs of indigestion. When inhaled, it has a relaxing, mild sedative effect. Celandine should not be taken if you are pregnant or nursing due to its powerful purgative action.

Nettle: Nettle is part of the English name of plants with stinging hairs, particularly those of the genus UrticaNettle has been used for centuries to treat allergy symptoms, particularly hayfever which is the most common allergy problem. It contains biologically active compounds that can reduce inflammation. The medicinal properties of Nettle have been studied extensively and have shown promise in aiding the treatment of a wide range of conditions, including Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, asthma, bladder infections, bronchitis, gingivitis, gout, hives, kidney stones, PMS, sciatica, and tendinitis. Externally, it has been used to improve the appearance of the hair, and is said to be a remedy against oily hair and dandruff.

Catnip: Botanical name Nepeta Cataria. Known for driving your furry feline friends crazy, Catnip is a part of the mint family of herbs and has been used in connection with anxiety, insomnia, and nervousness. It contains a substance, known as nepetalactone, which has a sedative effect in humans. Due to this effect, catnip may also be used to help lessen migraine headaches. Catnip has also been used historically to relieve stomach complaints such as colic, cramps, gas, and indigestion because chemicals in it may have muscle-relaxing, or antispasmodic, effects. Catnip is also a great potentiator as it increases the effects of other herbs that it is smoked with.

Passion Flower: Botanical name Passiflora incarnata. Passion Flower is best known as a remedy for insomnia and disturbed sleep patterns, and is thought to be useful for short-term bouts of sleeplessness. It has traditionally been used to treat anxiety and tension, and to relieve irritability and insomnia. Its gental sedative properties have been known to produce a soothing and relaxing effect. It is also believed to have painkilling properties and has been used to treat various aches and cramps.
